Commercial Product Developer

Beacon Foods are looking for a Commercial Product Developer to join our team, reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing your role will require you to,
Strategically develop and grow a portfolio of key current B2B & Foodservice customers, identify and target new customers in these sectors and be the product / innovation point of contact, which will lead to new commercial opportunities.
Key sectors - QSR, Casual Dining, Pub groups and Food to go, Be commercially aware on development briefs and how this fits with Beacons capabilities. A very much customer facing role, you will be the development link creating a need for Beacons ingredients, be a real foodie and keep abreast of market trends and how these can secure us new business.
Have a structured and focused approach, develop clear communications with NPD & Technical colleagues so that they understand your brief / customer expectations.
Maintain great customer service and feedback competitor intelligence
Salary subject to experience. Package will include company car or monthly car allowance.
Both full and part time hours will be considered.
Technical/NPD Process Technologist
Duties will include:
Working within a small New Product Development team researching and developing new products.
Work with production staff to ensure a smooth transition from new product to established product ensuring all production, food safety, health and safety and customer issues are resolved.
Undertake adhoc projects to identify opportunities to introduce new ways of working and to improve productivity and efficiency of plant, people and equipment.
Write new recipes and update existing recipes as required.
Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm
Degree in food science based subject
Basic/Intermediate food hygiene level. - desirable
Basic Health & Safety Certificate – desirable
Full Time / £16,700
Factory production operatives required for busy food
Manufacturers for various departments.
