Accounts assistant

Full or part time: £24,000 to £25,000 FTE (depending on qualifications and experience)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as an Accounts Assistant for a food manufacturing company in Brecon. Beacon Foods Ltd is offering an exciting role which includes detailed accounting work and interaction with non finance managers. We require someone who is personable with attention to detail and most importantly has a passion for accountancy. Main duties: - Purchase Ledger - Balance Sheet Reconciliations - Review of Product Costings - Fixed Asset Register - Stock Control - Ad hoc tasks Role requirements: - good grade at Maths - confident using Microsoft Excel - Ability to work to tight deadlines - Show initiative and be self motivated You will be able to deal with a changing business but have a presence of mind to perform highly detailed work under time pressure. You will be willing to grow through continuous training and support. Hours of work to be agreed – full or part time considered. Quality Assurance Technician

Full time: Salary: £25,000 - £ 27,000 per year (Depending on experience)
Conduct, monitor and record relevant checks on all aspects of production, as directed by the Quality Manual. Highlight any non-conformances which may occur and take appropriate corrective action. To work with the site Quality Assurance Team and site Technical Manager in maintaining the quality systems and quality standards throughout the site. • To work to and maintain all aspects of the Quality System. • To oversee Quality of products against specification requirements. • To work closely with the Production teams monitoring and ensuring that all aspects of the Quality and H&S on the factory floor is adhered to. • To ensure that C.C.P’s within the factory are being adhered to. • To ensure paperwork in circulation is of the correct version. • To conduct daily scheduled GMP & Fabrication Audits. • To monitor the collection of samples such as taste panel, shelf life and micro samples. • To host daily taste panel assessment. • To complete shelf life assessment. • Daily Calibration of testing equipment such as Scales, p.H meters and Refractometers. Shift Pattern – Weekly Rotating Shifts (40 hours per week) Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm Monday – Friday 2pm – 10pm (Covering holiday & absence for other shift patterns such as 10pm - 6am & 8am – 4pm) Salary: £25,000 - £ 27,000 per year (Depending on experience) Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • Company pension • Cycle to work scheme • On-site parking • Profit sharing

Engineering Co-ordinator

Full time/ competitive salary
We are recruiting an administrative role at Beacon Foods to work with our Maintenance team. The role is to provide co-ordination of the Maintenance requirements and schedules for production, facility equipment and systems on site. Main duties include: • Preventive maintenance – follow a plan and issue jobs to engineers on a daily basis to ensure the regular and periodic (time-based) schedules are adhered to • Planned / pre-determined maintenance – follow and update the factory schedule and Workmate maintenance system and ensure we are compliant • Reactive maintenance – unexpected breakdowns, failures or issues to be issued to engineer or contractor in a timely manner to minimise production disruption • Liaison between maintenance team, management, suppliers and contractors & support with coordination of specialist contractor companies when on site • Permits: Issuing and managing contractor permits • Update work records within the Workmate system to maintain accurate equipment history and maintain hard copy files and manuals • Assist with stock takes of engineering department & ordering replacement and spare parts Requirements: • Good communication skills • Computer literate with Microsoft word • Organised and efficient • Problem solving & decision making • Full training on the Workmate system will be provided Details: • Monday to Friday – start and finish times are flexible • Hours – Full time (negotiable) • Salary – Competitive Benefits: • Company pension • Cycle to work scheme • Profit sharing
