Pears (Back)

We’re told there are as many varieties of pears as apples but you wont see more than a dozen or so around. Once upon a time poaching was all they were popular for but now they partner the smartest cheeses and game.

They are lovely in chutneys too and feature in our Somerset Orchard Chutney. We like them chargrilled and sliced into salads especially with some toasted hazelnuts and crumbled Roquefort cheese.

Apples (Back)

The first fruit on the planet and the stuff of myth and legend. We use Bramleys in our Somerset Orchard Chutney. Nellie wanted to call this Windfall Chutney but was told not to be so silly. Grenadiers are good cookers too.

We also caramelise apple pieces to go in little pork pies and have invented some delicious healthy and nutritious apple recipes for babies.
