Things have moved on rather a lot since 1993 when we just had a second hand Escort van. We’ve got 10 now in all sorts of sizes up to 7.5 tonnes which carry chilled and frozen product from Cornwall to Scotland. Each vehicle covers 120,000 miles every year. If you look out for them you may see funny number plates.
They all carry Satellite Navigation and Satellite Tracking through the Internet.
We also put in a Beacon jumper in each one for the driver in case he gets cold.
We tend to give a new lorry straight to Richard as he has the cleanest and shiniest vans of all and is always polishing them. |
