Veg Waste

All our veg waste goes to local farmers who love it for composting. It’s very good for their land. We’re told the sheep fight over it when it's very fresh. Our waste from the water treatment plant is known as rocket fuel and is simply the Rolls Royce of liquid fertilisers.

Treated Water

All our water goes through the Membrane Bio Reactor water treatment plant (very Frankenstein) and comes out the other end as good as Spring Water so Edward drinks it. It then goes into the Afron Tarrell Grade A river where the fish drink it.

Bio Fuel

Edward and Rae are currently looking at the logistics of Bio Fuel which they are very passionate about. It requires all waste to go through an Anaerobic Digester plant which recovers gas to run the ovens. They’re also looking at running the delivery vehicles on Sunflower Oil. (Who knows what he’ll come up with next).

He’s also changed the model of the 7.5 tonne vehicles from Mercedes to Mitsubishi. This gives us an extra 1,000 kg payload per vehicle. So we’ve been able to reduce our fleet from 12 down to 10.

We’re definitely doing our bit to be as green as possible.
